FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • WHY A FAUX CAKE?
    Sometimes a customer would like to have a big/beautiful cake, without all of the extra cake servings. Plus a big/beautiful cake has that WOW factor, and a lot of wonderful memories are created. Another reason for customers to request a faux cakes is when the design for very expensive and it can save you money.
  • DO YOU HAVE CAKE STAND RENTALS?
    Unfortunately we do not offer a cake stands for rent. You are in need of a cake stand I would suggest in purchasing one or renting one from a rental company. If you have a question regarding a cake stand we can definitely help you pick the right size
  • ARE WE LICENSED AND INSURED?
    Yes! we are licensed and insured. If the venue is in need of A COI, We are happy to send it over to the venue.
  • WHAT FORM OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
    We gladly accept Visa, MasterCard (most credit cards), cash and money. order However; Any orders $150.00 or more are required to make a non-refundable 50% deposit (same for out of state orders). All orders must be paid in full two weeks before your event date. All orders under $150.00 need to be paid in full at the time the order is placed (non-refundable). If you place an order and you do not cancel, we do charge your credit card for the full amount the completed cake. We require a one week notice of party cake cancellations; otherwise full-payment is STILL due. ALL payments made are non-refundable. There is a service fee in any checks returned (ex:NSF), of $50.00.   • WHEN SHOULD I PLACE MY ORDER?
    Party cakes: a minimum of two weeks, but it really depends on the time of the year and our work load. (The sooner the better). Wedding Cakes: You can order your wedding cake at any time; however, in order to save your date, we suggest six months before wedding. When you place a deposit on your cake, your price & special offers are locked in. The only time your cake would increase in price is if you change your design, delivery location and so on (changes you make to your order). Signing paperwork is not final until funds are deposited, only then is your date on our books.
  • HOW DO I ORDER A CAKE?
    All cakes/desserts need to be ordered via phone, email or in person. You can place your order by calling 407-922-2103. Email- cakeandbakefla@gmail.com Reminder: to retain your date, you must make a 35% non-refundable deposit or full payment for orders less then $150 when ordering.
  • DO YOUR CHARGE FOR A TASTING?
    No, we do offer free tastings/consultations for wedding and celebration events. The first tasting/consultation is free; additional or custom tastings/consultations are $25.00, each occasion.
  • WHAT IF MY CAKE IS DAMAGED?
    Once your cake leaves the shop or after delivery; the customer/person picking up the cake is fully responsible for the cake. Cake & Bake, LLC will not refund any money for any reason once the cake has left the shop or after delivery. If you need repair to your cake(s) there will be an additional charge. Please take into consideration on which vehicle to use when picking-up your cake. You will need a flat/uncluttered surface for your cake to set in; If you want your cake to make it home in one piece, drive like you have a new born baby in the vehicle.
  • Canceling order / Postponing order/ changing date of order
    Unfortunately, there are NO refunds/credits after all/any payments are made. You are welcome to Postpone your order date as long as we are available for that date. If you are changing the date of your order your balance is still due the date of their original order date. There is also a fee of 10% to change your order date if farther than a month away. We require a two weeks notice of party cake cancellations and one mouth for weddings; otherwise full-payment is still due. Wedding cake fall under different standards, since we withhold dates from other customers months in advance. All payments are non-refundable! ​ Please remember we are located in the state of Florida which has tropical storms and hurricanes. Times or dates maybe changed depending on the weather. Cake and bake will not cancel or change your date without contacting you first. Cake and bake will do everything in their power to complete your order. Please remember if we have no power or cannot access our location your order could be Postpone or canceled. Performance of the contract agreement is contingent upon the ability of Cake & Bake to complete the agreement is subject to vehicle/traffic accident or incidence, road conditions, Acts of God and/or either causes beyond our control
